A Humble Compilation of Bridge Links

WB01570_.gif (184 bytes)The American Contract Bridge League Web Site (www.acbl.org)

The ACBL is the official bridge league and its web site is helpful and informative. Here you can find information about bridge, bridge products, the latest tournament updates, etc. Be sure to pay this site a visit if you haven't already.

WB01570_.gif (184 bytes)OKBridge (www.okbridge.com)

OKBridge is the best online bridge playing organization around. You can play anytime of the day with anyone. You can play rubber, duplicate and duplicate tournaments. There's just one downside: it costs money (but not that much).

WB01570_.gif (184 bytes)The Microsoft Internet Gaming Zone (www.zone.com)

The Microsoft Internet Gaming Zone offers FREE bridge online. The duplicate program is good, the rubber program isn't so great. However, it's FREE and there are plenty of people who go to the Zone for bridge (although not as many as OKBridge). The worst downside: it's Microsoft, which is a company I both support and despise.

WB01570_.gif (184 bytes)Yahoo! Internet Bridge (www.yahoo.com/Recreation/Games/Card_Games/Bridge/)

Yahoo! bridge is also FREE! However, it's not nearly as good as the Zone and OKBridge. There also aren't as many people who play on Yahoo!. The upsides: it's free, quick, and it's not Microsoft.

WB01570_.gif (184 bytes)Online Bridge Glossary (www.bridgeworld.com/glossary/glossa.htm)

When I was first getting into bridge, this glossary was very helpful for all that bridge "jargon." I still go there every so often, when I get confused. Check it out if you're reading a bridge book and suddenly think to yourself, " 'ruff and sluff?' Is that like surf and turf?"

linkarrow.gif (184 bytes)Manhattan Bridge Club (www.bridge-nyc.com/main.html)

If you live in Manhattan and you've got to play bridge, then head on over to the Manhattan Bridge Club, which is the best bridge club in Manhattan that I've ever been to. Before you go, you might wanna check out their website, which has all sorts of neat stuff and information!

linkarrow.gif (184 bytes)Amazon.com books about Bridge (www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/sirdanielswebsit)

Amazon.com has books for those who want to learn Bridge and those who want to learn good Bridge

WB01570_.gif (184 bytes)That's all I've got for now, but I know there are more bridge sites out there. I will continue to update this list as often as I can. If you have any suggestions as to a good site I should link to, or a link that's fallen, e-mail me at [email protected].

linkarrow.gif (184 bytes)Bridge Today Magazine (www.bridgetoday.com)

This is one of the best magazines around for bridge players of all skill levels. Plus, it is also "Bridge Today University." Check it out . . .

linkarrow.gif (184 bytes)The Bridge World Home Page (www.bridgeworld.com)

Another of the best magazines around. The magazine itself tends to focus on advanced players, but the website has all sorts of stuff for players of all levels. A must see . . .
